Artist Statement

I enjoy creating art “by any means necessary” - crooked lines, lost sounds, hair-lipped ideas, torn up tomes, digital detritus, barren blood, grunts, howls, pencils, pens, paper, paint, wood, beeswax, and bones - anything that will leave a mark, literal, figurative, imagined, or otherwise. At the moment, in my studio, I am working on a bunch of different projects: a set of waxed drawings that show old people making-out, an orchestral/visual piece for the Brooklyn Philharmonic, a series of linocuts for the letterpress, a collaboration with Stephanie Pereira, and a multi-media performance for an upcoming European tour.
