Artist Statement

I am a realist oil painter interested in subjects that have inherent tactile histories, usually with a distinct urban flair. My interest lies in capturing the essence of the subjects as a whole, communicating something beyond the limitations of the subject itself. Where my focus has been mostly with either still life, or urban scenery, it is now falling on more figurative subjects.
