Artist Statement
My recent body of work is centered on a fictional character named Bun e. (Bunny erectus). The series comprises photographs, paintings, sculptures, and a stop-motion animation. When divided into main components, there are three important concepts behind this body of work. The first is presenting Bun e. in a way that the viewer can imagine being it. The second is the impositions I place in the world of Bun e., and the act of keeping them comical and disturbing. The third is the relationship between Bun e. and me, and the way it comments on anthropogenic impact.

morgan says: Each component of this collection astounded me: the claymation videos made me laugh, while the photos and paintings challenged my perception. And the sum is greater than the parts, making me wonder about how each of us are like bun e in the world. I hope this nod will encourage Molly to keep creating more worlds and characters: I'm eager to explore them!
