Artist Statement
My life has been blessed with the desire to observe and paint the many subjects of our natural environment
Each new environment provides me with an unlimited amount of ways to portray nature and it's objects through technical illustration, plein air painting, large allegorical landscapes or as compositional challenges using color, shape and movement such as in my 'New England Rock Series'. The 'Warhorse/Warrior III Series' combines elements of nature to create an imaginary landscape. I began painting this series during the Kosovo War of 1998, using the Warhorse to personify man in his quest for healing and spiritual growth.
