Artist Statement

Formica clad structures slouch upright against the wall suspending ramshackle elements of abstract notations, concrete plans, and an iconography of searching religious agnosticism.

Signs, symbols, and glyphs bear the traces of personal religious history but are filtered by advances into language, abstraction, and the ornamental; where clean puritanical severity is eclipsed and gives rise to the pageantry of surface.

Freestanding or leaning; kneelers, platforms and low tables conjure questions of utility and purpose.

These casual and complex objects offer generous propositions while leaving certainty and intention at arms length; questions that are underpinned by an embrace of craftsmanship
