Artist Statement
My background as a jeweler allows me to see the micro-universe that exists under a magnifying loupe, revealing tiny metal landscapes. Because of its small scale and intricacy my process is lengthy and labor intensive. This is my tempo, how I grow, and get things out of my head and in front of myself.
Patterns and grids have become a constant theme within my work. I start with a rigid platform, then examine how it can be collapsed into something that retains the material's original properties but is redefined.
The Guestbook
ken.nelson.52 says: This artist's relief wall sculptures, using beads and needlepoint canvas were unlike any that I have seen before. The rubbings on paper were exquisite.
martha.southgate1 says: Loved your work--good luck!

Alidanui says: This work addresses body adornment and small-scale sculpture in new and surprising ways.
