Artist Statement

Kimba-Ji creates sculptural masks and prop pieces for performance, events and rituals. Kimba-Ji puts her puppeteering craftsmanship to work creating unique, highly characterized pieces using mixed media, including wood, papier mach'e?, natural and recycled materials and her signature touch of glitter. Inspired by ancient myths and religions, as well as her own travels. Kimba-ji's work blurs the line between dream and reality and bridges the gap between past and present, ancient and futuristic. Her army of space sprites and voodoo warriors will take you on an epic journey of discovery through space and time.
