Artist Statement
Born and bred in Brooklyn I began to notice I had blinders. I'd committed much of my New York experience to memory as a result I didn't see the city anymore.
I left the country in an effort to open my eyes again.
Abroad nothing was insignificant, everything was new. I recorded video, audio, and shot photos of everything. And I began to see and "hear" more than before.
The result is through paint, video and other means I try to magnify those whisper's (especially Brooklyn's) for what they say of this moment and ourselves.

I think my works of video, photography and paint can contribute meaningfully to the many discussions that are part of Brooklyn's continued evolution.
