Artist Statement
I am a scientist-artist. My work means to dissect the complex strata of internal biology and to survey the border regions of our physical integument and our intangible selves. Connectedness is perhaps my primary focus: the connections between primary particles, between organs, between people, between planets, between all things - living and non. I want a viewer of my artwork to contemplate the spans, within us and around us, that simultaneously separate and unite all of reality. I find great beauty and deep mystery in the infinitely layered universal network of things and strive to capture that in art.
The Guestbook
tomrnyc says: Excellent technical ability. Interesting pieces.
bklyneye says: Amazing the way he mixes the abstract with the real, leaving the viewer to complete the image with his/her own imagination.
ralph says: John's work is arresting, compellingly conceived and visually strong. The design, drawing and use of color creates strong, professional and thought provoking works and displays a highly developed talent. I think his work would stand up well in any comparison to currently admired artists.

kabatryan says: The technical knowledge and the creative use of single or mixed media is far beyond I have seen in any of the other artists. The multiplicity of techniques is fabulous.
