Artist Statement

My painting practice is rooted in the New York School and Abstract Expressionism . The process is purely intuitive. I moved my studio to Bushwick five years ago from Manhattan in search of space. It has been a rewarding experience because I work very large, the light is great and I can see the sky from my studio windows. My most recent paintings are large-scale and hard-edge and take on the form of a mandala.
