Artist Statement
The figures are actors for a video called "Crossing Lines" which has a narrative theme. I have over 50 small "actors" as audio track. Individuals tell stories about not taking an expected path and what has developed as a result of these choices and/or circumstances. The video is a departure but also an integration of what I do as a consultant for a living. One narrative includes someone speaking about moving at age 10 from Mumbai to the Poconos in PA, as one example. There is also a large installation in my studio, which is representative of earlier work.
