Artist Statement

I knew I wanted to be an artist from the day I learned to hold a crayon. When I told my parents' friends at parties that I wanted to be an artist when I grew up, they used to jokingly say that I should go to Yale because it has a great art program. That is exactly what I did.
Whether I am painting the coffee cup in front of me, or my walk to the studio, I always draw from real moments in my daily life. Translating these seemingly mundane things into something extraordinary is the magic of art.
