Artist Statement

I always have thought of myself as a hybrid of "post-pop" artist painting with bright color shapes and black outlines that hail back to painterly painting from the early twentieth century.

My pictorial vision aims at executing paintings utilizing a nostalgic figurative sensibility, with the end being the creation of truly 21st Century post-modernist art.

Subjectively, I am influenced by movies and television. I feel a kinship with graphic novels, and arrange my pictures in suites, composed in white frames like comic books, analogous to the media cacophony of this age.
