Artist Statement
I'm interested in the conjunction of art, politics and religion. The Brooklyn Museum puts itself in the middle of these issues, so I find that its traveling shows have often become my subject matter. I wonder though, how to keep my art from becoming just another commodity.
I start with photos or drawings, compose on the computer, create collages or paintings... which I then rephotograph, recompose, re-collage or repaint.
