Artist Statement

My work is full of emotions such as: monotony, trepidation, silence, darkness, fear, light, beauty, obscurity, decay, mystery, delicacy, and an abundance of introspection.
My own process consists in the conceptual idea of trapping pieces of life and time in the canvas through colors and surface treatments. I want the painting to become alive. In the end it has to pulse with life; I am not enterested in an object. The relationship between my painting and myself is very romantic in a dark way.
