Artist Statement

Aaron Beebe is a New York based artist, scholar, and museum director whose work explores themes of memory, display, and institutionality. Moving between installation-based practice in his Coney Island Museum and elsewhere and art on canvas and paper, his work advocates the creation of visceral and aesthetic objects that evoke history, memory, foreignness, nostalgia and sentiment.
