Artist Statement

The subject matter of my work generally concerns the frustrations and alienation of creatures or objects that are ill-equipped for this world, stuck in the liminal spaces of modernity. I am a sucker for the figurative in form and the melancholic in sentiment. In my paintings I strive to expose the tension between the world as it appears and that other world lurking behind it.
