Artist Statement

i tend to view painting and drawing as a primal force in a highly technological world. i have been influenced by latin american art especially the art of mexico puerto rico and cuba. i like the mix of western and african influences that give a fresh dimension to the work my desire is to create work that works on different levels but leaves a fresh image in the mind that remains afterward
