Artist Statement

After trying out various lifestyles Marsha Clark-Lind took some time off to refresh with ceramics at Baldwin Pottery and never looked back. She went on to study at Parsons School of Design and the 92nd St. Y as well as taking many workshops, particularly at Peter's Valley.

Marsha, influenced by Asian ceramics and the Arts and Crafts Movement, makes wheel thrown pots in porcelain and stoneware that add comfort and color to daily life. She experiments with glaze formulation and teaches at Supermud Pottery on the Upper West Side, and seasonally at Chambers Pottery in TriBeCa.

The Guestbook

MED says: Marsha has a gift for adding beauty to very functional pieces of ceramic that could be used in every-day settings. She combines grace with practicality in her ceramic work.
