Artist Statement

My paintings fall into two groups; perceptual paintings of still-lifes, landscapes and people and invented narratives arranged in sequence. The perceptual paintings are very concerned with color, specifically finding color notes and relationships that are strong, full and surprising. My narrative work is autobiographical and is formally engaged with finding a language of sequentially arranged images on a wall.
