Artist Statement

In my artwork I attempt to give to the passing moment and its emotion its own eternity and divinity. Thoughts, imagination and recollection and their concomitant feelings have reality only for the subject unless brought forth from the person who experiences. My work attempts to convey the feelings produced by experience to others as if engaged in a constant dialogue.
Usually I paint in oils and work from memory, sketches, photographs, or work. The method varies from work to work but the goal always is of reproducing the essence of a space, a moment, an emotion.
