Artist Statement

“It was the mystery that first made me paint”. Influenced by the portrayal of unexpected feelings from our conscious and subconscious minds. The process of layering a range of materials varying from acrylics, oils, ink, pastel, marker, and pencil onto canvas, paper, wood and glass. A resulting collage and assemblage symbolizes the integration between nature and urban life, the discord and harmony they both engender, with exploring how we adapt and adjust, expressing what is happening inside as well as around us while entertaining through empathy of the human condition.
