Artist Statement
I paint from life. My subject is the natural world--the essence of life. I want to capture the mystique and beauty of Nature in such a way that the viewer is not only entranced but also sees Nature in a different light. I use watercolor for its luminosity, unparalleled qualities and serendipitous effects. I strive to surpass illustration which is cold and clinical and instead paint with my heart as my pigment-laden brush dances with the water and the painting then sings to the viewer.

MBFlynn says: Such beautiful botanical watercolors, I could have spent hours looking at them. And I echo what AnneO said below.
AnneO says: Every man hopes for a great painter to do a wonderful portrait of him. If plants feel the same, they've found theIr champion in Albert.
