Artist Statement

We framed a netting around the top of the alley and introduced ten Chinese-Owls and two Crested-Helmet pigeons into the space. Eventually we removed the netting. It was wintertime. Most of the birds left. Of the remaining few, we took a crested helmet named Voltaire, and rigged him up with a camera and harness. He took some hectic yet sublime footage. It was decided the birds had to go.
We brought the handful of birds left to Tony the Terminator, a legendary birdman in East New York. By most accounts, he snapped their necks and fed them to his Rottweilers...
